► Scope of Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy as described below applies to the collection, use and protection of personal information while users are visiting the Taitung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station (TTDARES) website. However, it does not apply to any other sites that may be linked to the TTDARES website, governmental or otherwise. All sites linked to the TTDARES website have their own privacy policies in effect, and the TTDARES is not responsible for the operation of such sites. While users are on other sites, the privacy policies of those sites apply.

► Collection of Personal Data

  1. The TTDARES will not collect any personal information from visitors who download from or browse on the TTDARES website.
  2. While using the TTDARES website to apply for services, the organization or office receiving your application may require certain personal data, such as name, national ID number, contact phone number, email, residence and/or registered address. Please submit your most up-to-date information.
  3. The website will record a user’s IP address, time of visit, pages browsed and other data. This data enables our webmaster to conduct aggregate analysis of website traffic and network behavior in order to improve the quality of our services. This information is only used statistically and is not analyzed on a per-person basis.
  4. The TTDARES website is responsible for protecting the privacy of all applicants. We will not alter or remove any personal information or files without your consent or unless any of the conditions below apply:
   (1) By legal means.
   (2) In the event that website guidelines are compromised, such as abuse or personal attacks in the comment exchange section.
   (3) To protect or defend the rights and/or ownership of website users.
   (4) To protect the rights of organizations related to this website.

► The TTDARES website will not sell, exchange, rent out or otherwise publish your personal information to any group, individual or private enterprise, except under the following circumstances:

  1. Cooperating with legal investigations.
  2. Cooperating with investigations or related authorities with legal necessity.
  3. Believing in good faith that exposing such data serves a necessary legal interest or that using such data can improve website service.

► Individual Responsibility

  1. Registered users of the TTDARES website and online application services provided by this website are responsible for providing the most accurate, up-to-date and complete personal information.
  2. If it is found that any of your information is incorrect or untrue, the TTDARES website reserves the right to withhold use of part or all of its services from your account.
  3. Maintaining the security of a user’s password and account is the responsibility of the user and the TTDARES website.
  4. If your password or account is stolen, or in the event of any other network security issue, please immediately send an e-mail to the Director’s Mailbox on the TTDARES website so that our technicians may assist you.

  6. The conduct of Internet users should be in accordance with local and international laws. Furthermore, a user is entirely responsible for anything that occurs regarding the user’s account and password.
