The main job of the Banchiu Branch Station is to enhance the techniques of breeding and production of fruit trees. There are two labs under the Banchiu Branch Station: Pomology lab and Organic Fruit Management lab. We take charge of breeding varieties of annona fruits and studying on net house culture and pergola culture applied to the annona fruits orchard. For atemoya, we evaluate the equipment of its cultivation and the methods of pruning; in addition, we conduct research on the qualities and varieties of atemoya for export. Moreover, we study how light treatments influence the blossom of loquat trees and also advance the production technology of loquats. We also investigate what influence the simple net house makes on the growth of peaches. Furthermore, preventing fruit trees from natural disaster and remediation technology are also studied at our station.
