The Taitung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station (TTDARES) of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan concluded its three-day Farmer’s Academy—Introduction to Agriculture Course on April 16. The course focused on agronomic crops and included an introduction to the industry, farming theory and knowledge, practical techniques, and an introduction to related information channels. By gaining a basic understanding of the industry, participants now have a good foundation for their futures as farmers and will be a new force in the industry. They were further encouraged to register for the novice and advanced Farmer’s Academy courses to learn more and thus become even better farmers.
