In celebration of the 90th year since the establishment of the Taitung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station (TTDARES) of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan as well as to exhibit the achievements made by TTDARES directors over the years, the 90-year Legacy and Innovative, Sustainable Farming Open House and 90th Anniversary Celebration were held on October 26 – 27 (Friday – Saturday).
Former TTDARES directors attended the events to share their experiences, and there were also a photo exhibition and the release of the latest TTDARES Achievement Records, allowing attendees to become better acquainted with the TTDARES. On the second day, there was an exhibition of achievements (including farming technology and new plant variety development) related to three core concepts the TTDARES has been working on: special indigenous crops, early ripening, and organic LOHAS living. DIY activities, great food, and discounted agricultural products were available at the event. All who came had a fun and educational time. (See attachment for more details.)
