Banchiu Branch Station, Dec. 8, 2020 Navel Orange Organic Cultivation/Wild Animal Control Demonstration and Water-conservation Technique Promotion Event

2021-02-09

So as to exhibit the achievements made over the past ten years in organic orchard management and promote water-conserving irrigation techniques, the TTDARES held the Navel Orange Organic Cultivation/Wild Animal Control Demonstration and Water-conservation Technique Promotion Event. The purpose was to share techniques and related achievements in organic cultivation, eco-friendly monkey control, and water-saving irrigation concepts with farmers. 30 farmers and other guests attended the event, some of whom exhibited surprise at how much easier organic management is than they had previously assumed. They also found that, whether dealing with monkeys or droughts, there are always effective ways to respond. The attendees expressed strong affirmation for the TTDARES’ R&D work and guidance. TTDARES Director Chen Hsin-yen stated that he hopes the event will boost fruit farmers’ confidence in organic techniques, enhance their cultivation management methods, and be an impetus to everyone in furthering the organic farming industry.
