This study, whose subjects were members of the Taitung Youth Farmers organization and were categorized based on the “Self-evaluation Scale for Farmers,” investigated the appropriate guidance mode for different categories of farmers. Categorization also took into account the subjects’ character traits. These traits were cross-analyzed with the subjects’ attributes related to their capacity to bear risk to find the correlation between each, allowing for the mapping out of more accurate and comprehensive guidance strategies to boost guidance effectiveness. Furthermore, analysis was conducted on the degree of satisfaction the participants had with guidance strategies so as to gain an understanding of common challenges faced by young farmers and serve as a reference in adjusting guidance direction.
