The effect of different protected treatment in reduce fruit splitting rate of sugar apple (Annona squamosa L.)

Sugar apple suffered low temperature (below 13 ℃) would increase fruit splitting rate. This study used different protected treatment to evaluate the effect to the fruit-split of ‘Taitung No2.’ sugar apple. The protected treatment is including spray Ca, plastic-paper double layer bags, and windbreak net. The results show that fruit splitting of sugar apple in slow growth period was 0%, and fruit in 2nd rapid growth period was 59.5%. The plastic-paper double layer bags treatment reduced sugar apple fruit splitting. Windbreak net treatment was the lowest splitting rate, 19.4%. Treatments for three year had similar results.
