To help participants gain an overall understanding of the horticulture industry and basic cultivation knowledge, the Taitung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station (TTDARES) of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan held its Farmers’ Academy—Introductory Horticulture Class from May 12 to 14. Through a diverse array of useful courses each year, participants may obtain new agriculture-related knowledge and gain an understanding of the industry in Taiwan to make their futures as farmers smoother. Management of horticulture crops requires a relatively refined, intensive effort. Through the classes, participants obtained foundational knowledge that will be helpful in their work and boost their competitiveness.
